§ 50.02 CONTAINER REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   No resident may set out a garbage, recycling or yard waste container for collection prior to 6:00 p.m. on the day before a regular or special scheduled collection date. In addition, no resident shall be allowed to set out for collection waste products which were not generated at the residence. All kitchen garbage must be placed in a plastic or metal sealed garbage can. Empty garbage and recycling containers must be returned to the rear of the residence by 8:00 a.m. the day after collection. Any items not covered by the regular pickup shall be the responsibility of the resident to request, from the carrier, a special pickup and pay if there are any additional charges for the pickup.
   (B)   (1)   Any violation of this section shall subject the offender to fines, penalties and forfeitures that may be imposed by law, and the city may secure injunctions and abatement orders, when appropriate, to insure compliance with this section, as authorized by KRS 83A.065.
      (2)   This section may be enforced by any one or combination of the remedies authorized herein.
