(A) (1) The village hereby elects to delegate responsibility for fire prevention and protection to the Grass Lake Charter Township Fire Department, which shall assume responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), as amended, promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association.
(2) It further is ordained that the most recent edition of said Code shall take effect in the village once issued by the ICC or NFPA unless specific action is taken by Village Council to the contrary.
(B) The enforcing agent acting on behalf of the village to discharge the responsibilities of the village under this chapter is designated as the Fire Chief for Grass Lake Charter Township or his or her designee.
