Pursuant to the General Law Village Act, being Public Act 3 of 1895, being MCL 61.1 et seq., as amended, and consistent with the Fire Prevention Code, being Public Act 207 of 1941, being MCL 29.1 et seq., the Village Council may implement ordinances governing fire prevention and protection, including the delegation of said responsibilities to another agency, when not in conflict with the laws of the state. The Village Council may also adopt by reference Public Act 256 of 2011, being MCL 28.451 et seq., as amended, thereby adopting state statutes pertaining to the use of consumer fireworks.
