(a) In the event of the death of a full-time employee's mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, current spouse, child, step child, grandchild or person who serves in loco parentis, the employee shall be granted up to three (3) working days off with pay to attend the funeral.
(b) The employee shall supply proof of death and of the relationship in question, if requested by the Village. Subject to approval of the Village Manager, the employee may use up to one (1) day of sick leave for a death of the listed relative occurring in the state, and up to three (3) days of sick leave for a death of the listed relative occurring out of state.
