Every officer and employee of the municipality shall, before entering upon his or her duties, take and subscribe to the following oath or affirmation, to be filed and kept in the office of the Clerk of Council:
Sec. “I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and that of the State of Ohio and will obey the laws thereof, and that I will, in all respects, uphold and enforce the provisions of the Charter and ordinances of this municipality, and will faithfully discharge the duties of _______________ upon which I am about to enter.”
