The Village of Granville was first settled in 1805. Buildings in the community reflect the architectural styles of every period from the early nineteenth century to the present and demonstrate the Village's ties to the past. The Village District itself has become a source of pride, enjoyment and prosperity to the residents of the entire area. It attracts many visitors each year. In the interest of promoting and protecting the public health, safety, general welfare and prosperity, there is hereby established the Architectural Review Overlay District which shall have the boundaries as shown on the Official Zoning Map.
