1705.13 MAYOR TO STOP OR LIMIT WORK; PENALTY.
   After the granting of any permit provided for by this article for the construction, repair, alteration, demolition, moving or removal of any building or structure within the Town, if it shall reasonably appear to the Mayor that any such work is being done in such a manner as may endanger lives or property or is not in compliance with the facts set forth in the building permit application, he shall have the right to stop any such work forthwith, or to make any such order limiting such work as in his judgment the public necessity and welfare may require. A seventy- five dollar ($75.00) administrative fee shall be charged to the involved permit holder should a stop work order be issued. Any person who fails to comply with a stop work order, once issued, shall be subject to a penalty of no less than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each such offense. Each day that a person violates a stop work order shall constitute a separate offense.
