(A) If the Judge of the Municipal Court of the Town of Granite, Oklahoma, is a licensed attorney, the court may impose a fine not to exceed $1,000 plus costs; provided, furthermore, that the fine may not exceed the maximum as specified for the specific offense, as set forth in this code of ordinances or other ordinances now or in the future in effect.
(B) If the Judge of the Municipal Court is not a licensed attorney, the trial shall be to the court, and the court may not impose a fine of more than $50 and costs and may not order the defendant imprisoned, except for the nonpayment of fines or costs, or both.
