(A) Obedience to the orders, rules and judgments made by the Municipal Judge or by the Municipal Court may be enforced by the Judge, who may fine or imprison for contempt committed as to him or her while holding Court, or committed against process issued by him or her, in the same manner and to the same extent as the District Court of this state.
(B) It shall be an offense to be in contempt, directly or indirectly, of the Municipal Court of the town and of its orders. Failure to appear before the Municipal Court on the date and at the time noted on a traffic citation, after signing a promise to appear on the face of the traffic citation, shall be considered the offense of indirect contempt of the Municipal Court of the town.
