(A) No person shall stop or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid a conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law, ordinance, the directions of a police officer or traffic-control device or in an emergency situation in any of the following places:
(1) On any sidewalk;
(2) In front of or obstructing any driveway;
(3) Within an intersection;
(4) Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant (except in an officially-marked parking space);
(5) Within or on a crosswalk;
(6) Near any street work or excavation when stopping or parking would obstruct traffic;
(7) On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street (double parking or double-stopping);
(8) In any alley where less than ten feet of the roadway will be left available for the movement of vehicular traffic; or
(9) At any place where official signs prohibit stopping.
(B) The Town Board of Trustees is authorized to establish parking time limits and to prohibit parking on designated streets and parts of streets by having appropriate signs placed thereon.
(C) Parking large trucks or semi-trailers on streets or on street rights-of-way in residential areas shall be prohibited.
