Any person who owns real property that contains wiring or electrical apparatus which is old and does not conform with the other provisions of this subchapter pertaining to electrical wiring shall execute a certain instrument which shall hold the town harmless for damages caused by old and faulty wiring or other electrical apparatus which does not conform. The liability of the party holding the town harmless from such damages shall continue until the electrical system does conform with this subchapter, regardless of in whom title to the real estate is vested in the future.
