Prior to issuance of any permit, the Building Inspector shall require the applicant for a permit to file a policy of liability insurance or certificate of insurance issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in the state, with limits of not less than $200,000 for injury to each person and $500,000 for injury to all persons in each accident, and $25,000 for property damage claims, and specifically naming the village as an additional named insured on such insurance policy or certificate. Such policy of insurance shall guarantee to defend the village against all claims arising out of the excavation or other work done by the permitee.
