The person to whom a permit is issued shall promptly restore such street, alley, public sidewalk, or other public ground to a condition equally as good as before it shall have been so opened. Upon completion of such restoration he or she shall notify the Building Inspector or Superintendent of Streets. The Building Inspector or Superintendent of Streets shall immediately notify the village’s consulting engineer, and within 24 hours the village’s consulting engineer shall inspect the work of restoration and shall report to the Building Inspector or Superintendent of Streets whether or not the restoration is satisfactory.
