§ 6-3-24 VICIOUS DOG DETERMINATIONS.
   Whenever the Police Department has reason to believe that a dog is vicious, it shall report the dog to County Animal Control for a determination of viciousness, or it may consult with the Village Board and Village Attorney regarding the bringing of an action in the Circuit Court pursuant to § 15 of the Animal Control Act. Upon a determination that a dog is vicious, and unless and until such a determination is overruled on appeal, the owner thereof shall fully comply with the directives of the Administrator or the Court accompanying the finding. No person shall keep or maintain a vicious dog or allow a vicious dog to leave such person’s premises or an enclosure mandated by the Animal Control Act in violation of the Animal Control Act.
