§ 1-5-1 STATIONARY ITEMS.
   Be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees that no stationery, letterhead, or envelopes intended for use in village business shall hereafter be printed with the name or names of elected or appointed village officials and that no person or other entity shall hereafter use such stationery, letterhead, or envelopes for uses other than those directly related to village business. It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to obtain such stationery, letterhead, or envelopes printed with the name or names of elected or appointed village officials and it shall be unlawful for any person or entity to use such stationery, letterhead, or envelope or facsimiles thereof in political campaigns or for purposes not directly related to village business. Any unlawful use of village stationery, letterhead, or envelopes, or facsimiles thereof, may be enjoined or may be subject to a fine, or both. The use of each piece of stationery, letterhead, or envelope, or facsimiles thereof, shall be considered a separate offense, and the fine to be imposed upon conviction of unlawful use of such stationery, letterhead, or envelopes shall be no more than $200 per offense. Any existing supply of such stationery, letterhead, or envelopes, purchased prior to the date of the ordinance codified herein with private funds, shall be purchased by the village at the original cost on a pro-rata basis or shall be destroyed.
