505.01 KEEPING OF CERTAIN ANIMALS PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall keep or maintain any horse, cattle, swine, sheep, poultry or other livestock within the City.
 
   (b)   No person shall keep any wild or exotic animal including but not limited to:
      (1)   Poisonous insects, arachnids, amphibians, or reptiles.
      (2)   Constrictor reptiles.
      (3)   Game quatupeds as defined by Ohio R.C. 1531.01(v) not native to the City.
      (4)   Fur-bearing animals as defined by Ohio R.C. 1531.01(w).
      (5)   Without limitation by any of the above categories, any animal of a species which is feral by nature in its usual or natural state, except for "pocket pets".
 
   (c)   "Pocket pets" means small pets such as hampsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, domestic rabbits, white rats, mice, etc.
 
   (d)   The maintenance of such animals hereafter shall be an offense against the public health and safety of the City and the residents thereof and constitutes a public nuisance.
 
   (e)   This section does not apply to a person exhibiting such animals at a public show, parade or public institution.
