(a) Each City Council member shall be compensated at the rate equivalent to qualify for a full month’s contributing service credit in the Ohio public employees’ retirement system on the effective date of any increase in the statutory requirement. The compensation for the President of City Council shall include an additional twenty percent (20%) to provide for the additional responsibilities of the position.
(b) During the calendar year following a regular municipal election, Council shall review the rates of compensation for the positions of Council members, as well as that of Mayor, and may set, increase or decrease by ordinance, such rates, consistent with Sections 2.3
and 3.5
of the Charter of the City of Grandview Heights, Ohio.
