1305.01 LETTER A.
   (a)   "Alteration" as applied to one, two, and three-family dwellings and related accessory buildings means a permanent change or modification in construction, fixtures and/or equipment which does not include an addition to the building or structure.
 
   (b)   "Approval" of a material, device, or mode of construction refers to the approval by the Building Inspector as the result of investigation and tests conducted by him or by reason of accepted principles or tests by national authorities, technical or scientific organizations.
 
   (c)   "Approved agency" means an established and recognized agency regularly engaged in conducting tests or furnishing inspection services, when such agency has been approved by the Building Inspector of the Ohio Board of Building Standards.
