§ 31.021 OATH; BOND.
   (A)   The President, before entering upon the duties of his, her, or their office, shall take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of President of the Village of Grand Ridge, Illinois, according to the best of my ability.”
   (B)   Which oath or affirmation, so subscribed, shall be filed in the office of the Clerk; and he, she, or they shall also execute a bond to said village in the penal sum of $3,000 with such sureties as the members of the Board of Trustees shall approve, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the office.
