§ 112.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   REGISTERED SOLICITOR Any person who has obtained a valid permit, as hereinafter provided, and who has such permit in his, her, or their possession and on his, her, or their person while engaged in soliciting.
   RESIDENCE. Every separate living unit occupied for residential purposes by one or more persons and contained within any type of building or structure.
   SOLICITING. Any one or more of the following activities: seeking to obtain orders for the purchase of goods, wares, merchandise, foodstuffs, or services of any kind or description whatsoever; seeking to obtain subscriptions to books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, and every other type or kind of publication; or, seeking to obtain contributions or donations of money, or any other thing of value, for the use or benefit of any benevolent, charitable, philanthropic, patriotic, or eleemosynary association, organization, or not-for-profit corporation. SOLICITING shall not include children under the age of 18 engaged in fund-raising activities for a school, charitable, or not-for-profit organization located within the county.
