§ 70.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Unless another penalty is expressly provided by law, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this traffic code shall be punished as provided in § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.

   (B)   (1)   Any person who violates his, her, or their written promise to appear given to an officer upon an arrest for any traffic violation is guilty of a misdemeanor, regardless of the disposition of the charge on which he, she, or they was originally arrested.
      (2)   Any driver of a motor vehicle who wilfully neglects to answer to the charge set forth in the notice affixed to such motor vehicle by a police officer as provided by an ordinance of the village, is guilty of the charge for which the notice was originally issued.
