One-half of the sick-leave allowance and all of the accrued vacation benefits which have been accumulated prior to termination of service as a result of the death of a village employee shall be payable to the employee’s beneficiary in the event of the employee’s death. The minimum tenure of a village employee, in order to receive this benefit, shall be five years of employment.
