The city’s Police Chief or his or her designee shall review the application and determine whether the application complies with the provisions of this chapter and the Precious Metal and Gem Dealer Act, Public Act 95 of 1981, being M.C.L.A. §§ 445.481 through 445.492. The dealer shall complete his or her examination and issue a determination within 30 days upon receipt of the application described herein.
