No person, in the course of committing a theft,
:
(a) Use force against the person of the
of the
involved, or of any other person present, with intent to overcome his or her physical resistance or physical power of resistance; or
(b) Threaten the imminent use of force against the person of anyone who is present with intent to compel acquiescence to the taking of or escaping with the
involved.
