The identifying numbers on all buildings shall be placed on, at, or as near as practical to, the front door, or directly over the garage door, and shall be facing the street and in such a position as to be readily visible from the street on which the building fronts. No portion of the numbers shall be less than three feet from ground level. Exceptions to the location may be granted by the Building and Zoning Administrator but the same must be done in writing.
