§ 480.01 SPEED LIMIT IN SCHOOL ZONES.
   (a)   Definitions. As used in this section:
      SCHOOL. An educational institution operated by a local school district or by a private, denominational or parochial organization, except an educational institution containing only grades above the eighth grade.
      SCHOOL ZONE. School on which a building is located and includes the area adjacent to the   which is designated by the signs required under this section and which is not more than 1,000 feet from the line of the in either direction.
   (b)   Speed limit. During the times set forth in division (c) below, the speed limit within a   be 25 mph.
   (c)   Time. During the in which the local district has commenced for any given year, the speed limit be in force 30 minutes before a regularly scheduled daily session and 30 minutes after a regularly scheduled daily session. Permanent signs designating the and the speed limit in the shall be posted in conformity with the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
