The Planning Commission shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities set forth in the statutes of the state, particularly in M.C.L.A. §§ 125.3801 et seq., as amended, but such powers shall not be limited thereto. In addition, the Planning Commission, when convened as the City Sign Review Committee, shall assume the powers and authority and perform the duties and responsibilities of the Sign Review Committee as defined in Chapter 272 of the Administration Code. However, the powers of the Commission shall not supersede the powers and duties of Council.
