There is hereby established a Tourism and Marketing Committee consisting of a chairman and not less than six (6) additional members to be appointed by the mayor, by and with the consent of the city council including but not limited to a Secretary, Chamber Liaison, Visitor Center and Museum Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Advertising Coordinator and Business Development Coordinator. All members shall serve for a term of four (4) years or until their successors have been duly appointed and qualified, except that as to the initial establishment of the committee, four (4) members shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years and three (3) members shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years. All members of the committee shall serve without compensation. In making the appointments to the committee, the mayor shall designate one appointee to serve as chain-nan for the duration of his or her term.
