(a) There is hereby established a separate fund known as the “Confidential Investigation Fund,” from which will be disbursed by the Chief of Police to members of the general public up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per incident for information leading to the apprehension of perpetrators of criminal offenses.
(b) Payments to the Confidential Investigation Fund will be made from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund and will be kept separate from other funds and within the custody of the Chief of Police.
