(a) The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay time and a half to all full-time hourly workers when they work in excess of 40 hours per week. The normal work week shall begin on Saturday and end on Friday.
(1) When approved by the Village Administration, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay time and a half to all full-time hourly workers when they work past their regularly scheduled eight-hour shift.
(2) When approved by the Village Administration, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay time and a half to all full-time hourly workers who work scheduled weekends and holidays.
(3) The Village Administration has and reserves the right to limit full-time hourly workers to a work week not to exceed 40 hours, including any hours worked at a time and a half pay rate. Full-time hourly workers can opt to work less than 40 hours when approved by the Village Administration.
(b) The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay time and a half to all full-time salaried workers, with the exception of full-time police officers, when they work in excess of 40 hours per week and the excess hours are accrued for work outside of the employee's regularly-assigned department. The normal work week shall begin on Saturday and end on Friday.
(c) (1) Overtime payments for full-time police officers only shall be first computed and then paid based upon a payroll period consisting of 80 hours.
(2) Any payment for overtime hours shall be computed in accordance with the provisions in division (c)(1) of this section, starting with the pay period beginning January 12, 2002.
