1213.07   ACCEPTANCE OF STREETS.
   (a)   When these Subdivision Regulations and other ordinances and laws applicable to a plat in question have been complied with, and when all of the required improvements have been completed to the approval of the Village Engineer, the owner shall request the acceptance of the streets in the following manner:
      (1)   Endorse the dedication of streets for public use on the original recorded plat;
      (2)   Submit the plat with dedicatory clauses to the Village Engineer; and
      (3)   Deposit a written request with the Village Engineer for final inspection of the street construction.
   (b)   The Village Engineer shall determine whether the streets shall be accepted or rejected and shall report on the same in the following manner:
      (1)   If the streets are acceptable, the Village Engineer shall forward the plat to Council with his or her written recommendation for acceptance of the streets for public use.
      (2)   If the streets are rejected, the Village Engineer shall notify the owner and surety company to this effect and shall report the requisite reasons therefor. The owner shall have 60 days to make the corrections or changes requested. If corrections or changes are not effected, the Village shall have the work done, paying the cost of such work out of the bond required in Section 1213.05.
   (c)   If the streets are acceptable, Council shall adopt an ordinance accepting and confirming the dedication of the streets and shall endorse its acceptance on the original record plat. The original record plat shall be forwarded to the Law Director for a second record on the County Map Records.
