All owners, lessors and lessees shall forthwith post in a conspicuous place on the front of their buildings, or upon the roadside mail boxes, the street numbers assigned to their buildings. In the case of cluster mail boxes, said numbers shall be posted in the manner stated above upon the front of the building. Said letters shall be not less than three inches in size on the house and not less than one inch on a mail box by the road.
