§ 150.007 INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING CODE ADOPTED BY REFERENCE.
   To provide flexibility to permit the use of alternative approaches to achieve compliance with minimum requirements to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare insofar as they are affected by the repair, alteration, change of occupancy, addition and relocation of existing buildings. provisions, and requirements for safe and stable design, methods of construction, and uses of materials and houses hereafter erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, relocated, and converted, the International Existing Building Code, 2009 Edition, and a printed in the booklet or pamphlet form is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference, in addition to all amended editions as though printed in full here in insofar as the code does not conflict with the statutes of the state. Such code shall be deemed the "Existing Building Code". One copy of the Existing Building Code is on file at the office of the City Clerk and is available for public inspection at any reasonable time. The provisions of the Existing Building Code shall be controlling throughout the city and throughout its zoning jurisdiction.
