For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. The words and phrases used in this chapter, pertaining to motor vehicles and traffic regulations, shall be construed as defined in Neb. RS Chapter 60, Article 6, as now existing or hereafter amended. If not defined in the designated statutes, the word or phrase shall have its common meaning.

ARTERIAL STREET. Any of the following streets and any other streets designated by resolution of the City Council:
(a) Highway 47, (also known as Lake Avenue) from the southern corporate limits to the northern corporate limits; and
(b) Highway 30, (also known as 8th Street) from the western corporate limits to the eastern corporate limits.
BUSINESS DISTRICT. The following named streets only:
(a) Lake Avenue between 8th and 11th Streets;
(b) Avenues D, F, and G between 8th and 10th Streets;
(c) 8th Street between Avenues D and G;
(d) 9th Street between Avenues D and G; and
(e) 10th Street between Avenues D and G.
EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTE. The following streets and any other streets designated by resolution of the City Council:
(a) All of Lake Avenue, Avenue D, and Avenue I; and
(b) 20th Street from Lake Avenue to Avenue I.
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT. All parts of the city not included in the Business District.
