§ 91.062 CAPTURE BY INDIVIDUALS.
   Any person who finds an animal at large may take it into his or her possession and must, within 24 hours thereafter, notify the Department and surrender the animal to the Department upon demand. No such action shall result in a charge against the town. The finder of an animal at large shall use reasonable care to preserve it from injury; however, he or she shall not be held liable if the animal dies, escapes, or injures itself while he or she is carrying out the provisions of this section, except as occasioned by his or her own negligence.
