§ 111.02 JURISDICTION OF MUNICIPAL COURT.
   (A)   The Municipal Courts shall try and determine all cases involving any violation of S.C. Code Title 61, except § 61-6-4720, occurring within the limits of the city where the penalties do not exceed a fine of $500 plus assessments required by the State of South Carolina or imprisonment of 30 days.
   (B)   The courts and judge shall have and are hereby vested with jurisdiction over the criminal cases, with the right and duty of sending the cases, occurring within the municipal limits, but beyond their jurisdiction to try, to the higher courts.
