(A) Resume possession of animal. The owner shall be entitled to resume possession of an impounded animal, except as herein provided in the cases of certain animals, upon compliance with the rabies vaccination and proper identification requirements and the payment of redemption fees herein set forth.
(B) Apply for redemption. The owner of an impounded animal must apply for the redemption of the animal. The animal may not be released unless authorized by the Animal Control Officer with assurance from the owner that proper care and custody will be maintained.
(C) Redemption fees. The fees as established and approved by City Council, and on file with the City Clerk, shall be collected from the owner by the Animal Control Officer and turned over to the Finance Director.
