§ 36.35 APPEALS TO COURT OF GENERAL SESSIONS BY PERSON CONVICTED AND SENTENCED.
   (A)   Every person convicted in the Municipal Court of any offense whatever and sentenced may appeal from the sentence to the next term of court of general sessions for the county. The appellant shall, within ten days after sentence, serve written notice of appeal upon the judge who tried the case, stating the grounds upon which the appeal is founded.
   (B)   Within 20 days after the service, the judge shall file the notice in the office of the Clerk of the Court of general sessions, together with a statement of all proceedings in the case. If the testimony was taken in writing, a transcript of it shall be filed upon its completion, but in no case later than 45 days after sentencing.
