§ 36.08 JURISDICTION.
   The Municipal Court shall have the following jurisdiction:
   (A)   Jurisdiction of all offenses committed within the corporate limits of the city, which may be subject to the penalties of fines or forfeiture not exceeding $500 plus assessments required by the State of South Carolina, or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, and of all offenses which are now or may hereafter be within the jurisdiction of magistrates.
   (B)   Jurisdiction of all criminal cases made under state law and conferred upon magistrates, occurring within the corporate limits of the city.
