Any person, firm, association, partnership or corporation by himself, herself or itself or by him, her or its agent or employee who violates the provisions of this chapter and maintains a junk yard in violation hereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for a period not more than 90 days.
