§ 153.029 FINAL PLAT APPROVAL.
   (A)   The owner shall engage a registered land surveyor to prepare a final plat which shall constitute that portion of the preliminary plat which the owner proposes to record and develop at the time.
   (B)   (1)   The owner shall submit ten or more copies of the final plat to the Clerk-Treasurer at least 15 days before the Planning Commission meeting at which the plat is to be considered. The final plat shall be submitted within one year of preliminary plat approval; otherwise, the approval shall become null and void.
      (2)   In the event the preliminary plat is not entirely platted in final form within five years of approval, the preliminary plat shall be resubmitted to the Planning Commission for its review and action; otherwise, the initial approval shall be considered null and void.
   (C)   The city’s Clerk-Treasurer shall transmit one copy of the final plat to each member of the Planning Commission no later than seven days after its receipt.
   (D)   The Planning Commission shall study the final plat, considering the reports of an engineer and/or planner and other departments and/or employees, and then shall transmit its action to the City Council within 30 days of submittal to the city’s Clerk-Treasurer.
   (E)   The City Council shall act upon the final plat within 30 days of the Planning Commission approval, whereupon the city’s Clerk-Treasurer shall notify the owner of the City Council’s action.
   (F)   The owner shall file the approved final plat with the city’s Clerk-Treasurer, and shall record the final plat with the County Recorder within 60 days of final plat approval; otherwise, the approval shall be considered null and void.
   (G)   The owner shall be responsible for the cost of adding the plat to the city’s system of maps, and shall submit Mylar or hardshell maps to the county as is required by the county.
