SCHEDULE III. SPEED LIMITS.
   (A)   (1)   No person shall drive a vehicle on any street, avenue, alley or highway within the corporate limits of the city at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the circumstances then existing.
      (2)   Except when circumstances present a special hazard, the speed limits specified in this section are established as hereinafter authorized shall be lawful, but any speed in excess of the limits specified in this section or established as hereinafter authorized shall be prima facie evidence that the speed is not reasonable or prudent, and that it is unlawful to drive upon:
         (a)   State Highway 171 from Station 14+61 34.44 (west city limit on SH 171) East 1.258 Mile to Station 1501 + 36.68 (east city limit on SH 171) at any speed greater than 55 mph;
         (b)    Farm to Market road 917 also known as Main Street and Fourth Street from Station 0+00 (intersection with State Highway 171) northeasterly 0.320 miles to Station 1690 at any speed greater than 30 mph; from Station 16+90 (0.320 miles northeast of the intersection with State Highway 171) northeasterly 0.200 miles to Station 2745 at any speed greater than 45 mph; from Station 27+45 northeasterly 0.237 miles to Station 39+95 (northeast city limits) at any speed greater than 55 mph save and except from mile post 0.500 to mile post 1.200 (a 0.700 mile section of road) for which at any speed greater than 50 mph;
         (c)   Farm to Market 2331 also known as Pearson Street from Station 494+26 (Intersection State Highway171) northeasterly 0.223 mile to Station 482+50 (approximately 50 feet northeast to Graham Avenue) at any speed greater than 35 mph; From Station 482+50 northeasterly 0.347 mile to Station 464+20 (approximately 170 feet northeast to Links Drive) at any speed greater than 45 mph, save and except from that school zone which shall be designated from Station 479+00 (just east of Allen Avenue) northeasterly 0.208 mile to Station 468+00 (approximately 210 feet southwest of Links Drive) at any speed greater than 30 mph where so signed for school crossing, at any speed greater than 45 mph at all other times; from Station 464+20 northerly 0.157 mile to Station 455+90 (north city limits) at any speed greater than 55 mph; and Farm to Market 2331 south of State Highway 171 from mile post 0.000 to mile post 1.000 (a distance past the intersection of County Road 1229) at any speed greater than 55 mph;
         (d)   On all other streets, avenues, alleys or highways within the corporate limits of the city at any speed greater than 30 mph; and
         (e)   Wild Cat Drive, Bruce Street from Wild Cat Drive to West Links Drive, and West Links Drive from Pearson Street to Bruce Street at any speed greater than 20 mph.
   (B)   Upon the basis of a traffic investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of the Tex. Transp. Code, § 545.356, the prima facie speed limit for vehicles operating the following roadways within the city limits, is set at 55 mph, to wit: State Highway 171 from MP 8.507 south 0.835 miles to MP 9.342; and is hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and which shall be effective when appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected on those streets. Any person, firm, association of persons, company, corporation or their agents, servants or employees violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this division (B) shall be fined upon conviction of not less than $1 nor more than $200.
   (C)   (1)   Upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of the Tex. Transp. Code, Ch. 545, Paragraph 545.356, the following prima facie speed limits hereafter indicated for vehicles are hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and those speed limits are hereby fixed at the rate of speed indicated for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways, or parts thereof, described as follows: Highway: State Highway 171; city: Godley, Texas; county: Johnson; control-section: 0365-03:

      (2)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this division (C) shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than $500. This division (C) modifies previous ordinances pertaining to the above referenced highway.
   (D)   (1)   Upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of Sections 167 and 169 or Article XIX, R.C.S. 6701d, Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways, the following prima facie speed limits hereafter indicated for vehicles are hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and such speed limits are hereby fixed at the rate of speed indicated for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways, or parts thereof, described as follows: Control and section: 2417-02, highway: FM 2331; county: Johnson:
