For the purpose of regulating traffic on the streets and other thoroughfares of the city, there is hereby adopted the State Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highway, codified as Texas Transportation Code, §§ 545.351 et seq., which Act, together with the provisions contained in this chapter, shall be controlling in the regulation of traffic in the city. A violation of this Act shall constitute and be punishable as a violation of this code of ordinances.
