§ 36.02 CHIEF OF POLICE AND POLICE FORCE.
   (A)   The Police Department of the city shall consist of the City Marshal who shall serve as Chief of Police and shall discharge the duties of City Marshal and Chief of Police and other duties as he or she may be from time to time assigned by the City Council and authorized to perform under the laws of the state.
   (B)   There shall be appointed a force of up to 20 police officers as the City Council of the city may from time to time deem necessary and proper.
