§ 32.09 OATHS AND ANTI-BRIBERY STATEMENTS.
   (A)   City Secretary.
      (1)   The City Secretary must file in the city records the following statement sworn, in writing, and under notary seal, before taking the oath of office required by the Texas Constitution, Article XVI, Section 1(c), as follows:
   I, _____________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I have not directly or indirectly paid, offered, promised to pay, contributed, or promised to contribute any money or thing of value, or promised any public office or employment, as a reward to secure my appointment or confirmation thereof, so help me God.
      (2)   Upon the filing of the anti-bribery statement, the City Secreatary shall take the oath of office required by the Texas Constitution, Article XVI, Section 1(a), as follows:
   I, _____________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of City Secretary for the City of Godley, a general law municipality located in Johnson County, Texas, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of Texas, so help me God.
   (B)   City Administrator.
      (1)   The City Administrator must file in the city records the following statement sworn, in writing, and under notary seal, before taking the oath of office required by the Texas Constitution, Article XVI, Section 1(c), as follows:
   I, _____________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I have not directly or indirectly paid, offered, promised to pay, contributed, or promised to contribute any money or thing of value, or promised any public office or employment, as a reward to secure my appointment or confirmation thereof, so help me God.
      (2)   Upon the filing of the anti-bribery statement, the City Administrator shall take the oath of office required by the Texas Constitution, Article XVI, Section 1(a), as follows:
   I, _____________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of City Administrator for the City of Godley, a general law municipality located in Johnson County, Texas, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of Texas, so help me God.
