(A) The Type A General Law, Aldermanic form of government is hereby adopted in accordance with Texas Local Gov’t Code, Title 2, Ch. 6. The City Council shall be composed of a Mayor and five Council members elected at large. The City Council may provide for officers and agents as it may from time to time direct to be appointed or elected.
(B) The provisions of Texas Local Gov’t Code, Title 2, pertaining to Type A General Law municipalities, are hereby adopted and accepted. The Town of Godley shall hereafter be known as the City of Godley, Texas.
