§ 53.093  SOIL SUITABILITY.
   It is the responsibility of the licensed maintainer to determine if a site has soils suitable for land application of septage. Soils are considered suitable if the following conditions are met:

Soil texture
At the zone of septage application (surface horizon or injection depth) the soil texture must be one of the following: fine sand, loamy sand, sandy loam, loam, silt, silt loam, sandy clay loam, clay loam, sandy clay, silty clay loam, silty clay, or clay
Surface horizon permeability
If 0.2 inches/hour or less, this soil is suitable only for surface application with incorporation within 48 hours of injection
Depth to bedrock   
3 feet
Depth to seasonally saturated soil
3 feet
Frequency of flooding
Must not be occasional or frequent
