3-2-14: GIVING PRIZES AND INDUCEMENTS; DISCRIMINATION:
   A.   No owner or proprietor of a retail alcoholic beverage store, and no person employed therein, shall offer or furnish any prize, premium, gift, or similar inducement to a consumer in connection with the sale of alcoholic beverages; except, that goods or merchandise included by the manufacturer in packaging with alcoholic beverages or for packaging with alcoholic beverages shall not be included in this prohibition, but no wholesaler or package store shall sell any alcoholic beverage prepackaged with other goods or merchandise at a price which is greater than the price at which the alcoholic beverage alone is sold.
   B.   It shall be unlawful for any person privileged to sell alcoholic beverages to wholesalers or retailers:
      1.   To discriminate, directly or indirectly, in price between one alcoholic beverages wholesaler and another alcoholic beverage wholesaler, when that manufacturer has not designated a single alcoholic beverage wholesaler, or between one retailer and another retailer purchasing alcoholic beverages bearing the same brand or trade name and of like age and quality; or
      2.   To grant, directly or indirectly, any discount, rebate, free goods, allowance or other inducement as consideration for the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages. (Ord. 755, 9-17-2018)
