A. Responsibility For Rates And Charges: All service charges for water shall be paid by the applicant or consumer. (2002 Code § 13.04.220; amd. 2013 Code)
B. Separate Services: When more than one building of any kind, apartment or more than one residential or single-family living area in any building is served through one water meter, each such building, apartment or residence shall be deemed a separate water service, and a separate minimum charge shall be made therefor and collected by the utility service department. In any such case, such minimum charge shall be the regular minimum charge at the current rates in effect at the time of billing. (2002 Code § 13.04.230; amd. 2013 Code)
C. Rates And Charges Established:
1. Service Rates: Service rates shall be as established by the city council. (2013 Code)
2. Turn Off And Reconnection Charges:
a. In case water service to a customer is cut off because of failure to pay a water bill, all charges applicable to disconnecting or reconnecting service shall be assessed against and paid by the consumer.
b. In cutting water off to a customer, sufficient notice will have been given by mail to the consumer on record being furnished water, and a cutoff notice will be hung on the door of the premises. (2002 Code § 13.04.260; amd. 2013 Code)
