A. Service Regulations: Water service for fire protection shall be fitted for such fixtures as are needed for fire protection and shall be entirely separate from those used for other purposes. (2002 Code § 13.04.180; amd. 2013 Code)
B. Interference With Fire Hydrants Prohibited:
1. It is unlawful for any person not duly authorized by the city community development director, city engineer, or a member of the city fire department to open, turn on or off, interfere with, attach any pipe or hose to, or connect anything with any fire hydrant or service line or connection belonging to the city.
2. It is unlawful for any person to obstruct access to any fire hydrant in any manner whatsoever.
3. It is unlawful to park within fifteen feet (15') of any fire hydrant.
4. Any person violating any provision of this subsection shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for the offense of tampering or damage to public utilities and as set forth in the municipal bond schedule adopted by the governing body as provided in section 1-11-19 of this code.
